In conjunction with Music on the Delaware, the Catskill Jazz Quartet visited Walton CSD on Friday to host two workshops – the first with the high school band, and the second with the seventh- and eighth-grade band. All student after-school activities for Tuesday, January 23 have been canceled. This includes the wrestling match against Windsor. Also, Friday's wrestling match vs. Oneonta will now be in Walton. It was originally scheduled for Downsville #WeAreWalton #WaltonCSD #WaltonPride

Students in Brynne Hoover-Daye’s Disney Story Exploration class have been busy this semester. The elective is in its second year and is a class students can sign up if they have room in their schedules. This semester, 15 students from seventh and eighth grades took part, with some being in their second year of taking the class. The students this year began by working with the story/movie Star Wars: A New Hope. They ended the unit by writing scripts for talk shows in which they played the characters and were interviewed about their lives. They also challenged Middle School Principal Adam Hoover to a Star Wars trivia battle. Mr. Hoover won. Following this section, they moved on to the movie Encanto. One of the projects completed with this movie was creating a pair of Crocs that fit the personality of one of the characters.
