Alumni Day!
The Walton CSD high school hosted its second Alumni Day last week. More than 30 came back to Walton to talk about careers and college. A great day with informative sessions and the ability for students to interact with alumni in fields they may want to pursue!

For the holidays this year, second graders created cards and ornaments for the 27 departments at UHS Delaware Valley as a thank you for all they do throughout the year. The students wanted to make sure the staff at the hospital know they were appreciated! Great job!

For the 21st consecutive year, the WaltonCentral School District teamed with Delaware Opportunities for a gift drive to help area children.
This year, the drive covered 42 children throughout Delaware County. The National Honor Society organized and sponsored the drive this year, and gifts were donated by students and numerous faculty and staff members from the elementary, middle, and high schools.
A list of families is given to the school ahead of time, though identities are not known. Gifts remain in the county, however. The only information given to the school is age, gender, and sizes for each child, as well as a list of wanted items or interests.

Earlier this fall, at a NY Thursday lunch, SUNY Delhi students and faculty teamed up with Walton CSD cafeteria staff to serve spaghetti, meat sauce, and garlic bread. The featured tomato sauce was created and made by SUNY Delhi students and distributed to nearly a dozen DCMO BOCES component schools. The sauce was made with tomatoes grown locally.
