Thank you bus drivers!
As part of bus safety week, the Walton Central School District recognized its drivers for Bus Driver Appreciation Day on Wednesday.
Drivers were honored with safety certificates, as well as elementary students coming to sing two songs. This annual event is a way to recognize our drivers for all the hard work they do to make sure our students are always safe!
Thank you for all that you do!

Students in Maria Catalano’s ELA class investigated a crime scene as they prepared for a unit on where they will be reading The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe.
The class collected evidence from the crime scene, dusted for fingerprints, and tested for blood to create a hypothesis about what might have happened. They will then compare what they found at this crime scene to what happened in the Tell Tale Heart.
The idea behind this activity was for the students to look at details and concrete evidence that is presented in a text.

All ninth-grade students recently attended a freshman advisory panel presentation in the auditorium. This is an annual event held to help support students transitioning from middle to high school and be able to learn from upperclassmen about their experiences. They also get tips about student success and opportunities for involvement.
Upperclassmen panelists were seniors Eve Foster, David Gatchalian, and Colby Phraner; and juniors Addyson Trimbell and Reese Underwood.
