The Walton Central School District would like to give a special thank you to all of our staff who helped get us through the off-campus situation earlier this week. Though everything was out of our control, our staff and students remained calm despite having to adjust dismissal plans, times, and routes. Staff at the MS/HS helped to make sure students who had to wait, and students who eventually reached the MS/HS during the stop from the elementary school had snacks and water.
Also, we thank the Walton Fire Department and Police Department, and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office for the collaboration and communication throughout the ordeal. We also thank the parents for their understanding and patience throughout the late afternoon.
