The Townsend Elementary School Agriculture Club met recently, electing officers for the year.
This is the second year of the club.
Officers elected were: Grace Walley (president), Levi McDonald and Marcus Marano (vice presidents), Esther Salvia (secretary), and Colton Walley and Alexa Scofield (club reporters).
During the first meeting this year, the members made terrariums and rooted plants for future planting. Plant clippings were donated by Mary Hunter, Diana Offnick, and Carol Moore.
Beth Howland is serving as the club advisor. Staff members Mackenzie O'Hara, Lisa Rhinehart, Karla Marano, Judy Ogden, Beth Ogden, Jean Maxwell and Patty Wood are also helping with the club.
