In conjunction with Better Speech and Hearing Month, Townsend Elementary speech/language therapy teachers and the PTA sponsored a drawing contest for “what you look like when you’ve had too much screen time.”

Two-hundred students entered the contest, and awards were given at each grade level.

Students were encouraged to reduce screen time and unplug and play over the upcoming summer vacation.

Pictured are the winners of the contest and teachers: Front (from left): Ella Beers (UPK), and Esther Salvia (3rd). Back (from left): Erin Cowles, Gavin Harrington (5th grade), Amelia Dimartini (1st), Maria Salimbangon (2nd), Cailet Cordner-Ryan (kindergarten), Ethan Hall (4th), and Sarah Karl.
