The annual Walton CSD music awards concert will take place at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 4 in the courtyard at O’Neill High School. There will also be a barbecue picnic sponsored by the Friends of Music. Cost for the meal is $3 for adults and $1 for students.
Throughout the evening, a variety of strings, brass, woodwind, choral ensembles, and soloists will perform.
The evening will be capped off with short performances by the large high school ensembles (orchestra, chorus, and band).
Letter and pin awards, as well as NYSSMA medals will be presented. The special senior recognition awards and underclassmen awards will be given by the Friends of Music.
Members of the community are welcome to attend. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
In case of inclement weather, the picnic and concert will be moved inside to the cafeteria and auditorium.
