For the second straight year, the Townsend Elementary gymnasium was transformed into a bowling alley as a week in May became the second annual Rock and Bowl.
The setup is so the students have a chance to bowl in the dark, with only laser lights and projections illuminating the lanes.
The lights are borrowed from staff members within the building. This year featured more lights than last year.
The activity is designed to replicate a Rock and Bowl setting that is found at many bowling alleys during weekend nights. It’s a fun activity for the students and they enjoy it each year.
