The Walton Central School District held a hold-in-place drill on Monday morning. The district was assisted during the drill by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit.

The drill was planned by the district and is part of state mandated drills that a school needs to hold each year.

“The drill went smooth and was pretty quick,” said Walton Director of Technology Rick Robinson, who also serves as the district’s safety coordinator. “Our staff and students did a great job with everything, and we want to give a special thank you to the Sheriff’s Department for assisting us today.”
