In June, Emily Roach, from Delaware County Cornell Cooperative Extension 4-H, partnered with second grade classes to help bring chick hatchling to the classrooms.
The students were able to see the eggs, and Roach talked to the classes about the different kind of eggs there were and what to expect.
Students had the opportunity to see the chicks hatch and experience live chicks in the classroom. Roach came back later in June to show some of the chicks to the class so the students could see how they grow to adult stage.

The UPK celebration was held late last week as these students took the step toward kindergarten next year! Way to go UPK classes!

Chalk art day!
One of the best events of the year took place Wednesday, and Mother Nature cooperated with a gorgeous day for the students to come outside and show off their art skills. So many kudos to Townsend Elementary art teacher Lori Cucciarre for her continued work on this amazing event and project!
We hope you had the chance to see the great art the students created!
