All five of Walton CSD’s fall sports teams earned scholar-athlete honors from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) for the 2025 fall season. Two of the teams (boys and girls soccer) include Downsville as merged programs.
Those pictured earned a GPA of 90 or higher and are on the scholar-athlete teams. To qualify as a team, 75 percent of the roster must have a GPA of 90 and above.
Field hockey and volleyball tied for the top average among the teams with a 95.5 each, followed by Walton/Downsville boys soccer team with a 94.3. The Walton/Downsville girls soccer team was next (93), followed by football (91.5).
The MAC Scholar Athlete, given to the highest GPA on each team, was also awarded.
