Five Walton CSD students will compete at Speech and Debate Nationals this weekend in Louisville, Kentucky!
The five students are seniors Adara Allen and Jayven Mason, juniors David Gatchalian and Caroline Gorance, and sophomore Aurora Siniscalchi.
They will be competing in the following events:
- Gatchalian is competing in Original Oratory where his original piece discusses the power of understanding each other before drawing conclusions.
- Gorance is competing in Dramatic Performance where she uses performance to show the power of making the most out of life's situations, even if it's eating cat food.
- Allen is competing in Oral Interpretation where she uses prose and poetry to highlight that sometimes our childhoods are not what we need them to be.
- Mason and Siniscalchi are competing in Congress where they argue the validity of proposed bills and debate their possible passage into policy.
