The Walton Central School District will host three spring concerts in the upcoming weeks. All concerts are free and open to the public and held in the Walton CSD auditorium in the high school.
The first is the high school concert, scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15. The concert will include the symphonic orchestra and high school chorus, under the direction of Rebekah Doig. The high school band will perform, directed by Raymond Bartlett. Also performing will be the brass ensemble and the saxophone ensemble. Kahrin Vesterfelt and Eli Williams will each play their NYSSMA piano solos.
The Townsend Elementary concert follows at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 20. Please note, this is a change from the original date of May 21.
The concert will feature the third-grade chorus and advanced and beginning bands, directed by Theresa Bolton. Also performing is the fifth-grade chorus and advanced orchestra, under the direction of Giancarlo Sidoli.
Finally, the middle school concert wraps up the month at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 28.
Large ensembles presented will be the orchestra, and chorus directed by Doig. The sixth-grade band, and the seventh- and eighth-grade band will be directed by Bartlett.
