The Walton Central School District will livestream two concerts this week – the high school concert on Tuesday, May 11, and the middle school concert on Thursday, May 13.

Students from the Walton Central School District participated in the virtual NYSSMA Festival at the end of April. The students spend several months preparing instrumental or vocal solos and scales to present to an adjudicator through their recorded performances.

FUNDRAISER: The Class of 2021 is sponsoring a Brooks’ House of Bar-B-Q chicken dinner on Tuesday, May 18. The dinner is pickup only.Dinners will be $12, and include 1/2 chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, a roll, and dessert. Dinners are pre-order only and must be paid for and ordered no later than May 11.

The Walton Central School District has named its valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2021.The valedictorian is Emma Harby, and the salutatorian is Celeste Mingle. Each is scheduled to speak during the annual graduation ceremony, which is currently scheduled for June 26.

Earth Day was celebrated throughout the day at Townsend Elementary, as students had the chance to witness a new maple tree planted, and other classes saw a presentation from the DCMO BOCES conservation program.
