Welcome to
         5th Grade Math!
I am the fifth grade math teacher and I am looking forward to working with all of the fifth graders this year.  I strive to make math "doable" for all students.  Math should be challenging, but not frustrating. Encourage your child to ask questions, seek extra help when needed, and to do their best at all times.

Homework Policy

In fifth grade, homework is assigned every night Monday-Thursday. Students will have up to 30-40 minutes of homework each night. It is also encouraged that they read or be read to for at least 15-20 minutes each day.

If you are finding your child consistently takes longer than 40 minutes to complete homework, please let us know. We are happy to work with you to ensure the amount of homework being assigned is appropriate for your child.

Please check over your child’s assignments, help him/her make necessary corrections and have them turn their corrections back in to me.
