From the Superintendent

Dear Walton Central School District community,

As April arrives, we are in the midst of budget season. But it’s also an exciting time as the school year starts to wind down and we make our final push for the 2016-17 school year.

Spring Break is quickly coming and hopefully that will signify some better weather. No matter if you are going away or having a “staycation” for Spring Break, I hope you get to use that time to relax and unwind with friends and family.

This year has been moving quite fast. Before we know it, graduation will be upon us and the Class of 2017 will be receiving diplomas. Before then, of course, we are working on the budget for next year. We have had several presentations. If anybody has any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. Remember, too, that this year’s budget vote is May 16 at the school’s bus garage.

Our spring sports teams are also working and getting ready for the season ahead. Hopefully the weather will continue to improve and each team will be able to get outside soon and get going with their respective seasons. If you get a chance, please check out the athletics schedule on our school website and come cheer on our Warriors!

Sincerely,

Roger Clough
