The annual project of building a shed by Walton CSD’s construction class took part again this spring. This year, the class built a 10 foot by 14 foot shed, which is being built for Dan Hodges.
As in the past, the person having the shed built buys all the materials for the shed.
This shed has a metal roof, with a saltbox style. There are pressure-treated 4x4 skids, as well as a pressure-treated plywood floor, three window openings, a sliding 4-foot door, as well as board-and-batten siding.

Students in Ryan Ashlaw’s advanced art class took on a project involving old sports uniforms, and the use of a drone.
Elementary teacher Dustin Purdy teamed up with Ashlaw to provide the drone coverage of this project, which required students to use old uniforms to create an art piece on the athletic fields.
The class agreed on the design, which took several weeks to plan and prepare. Each student had a role in preparing and constructing, including planning out a grid, collecting and organizing supplies, supervising the process, and creating the piece.
