Because of the uncertainty in the forecast, graduation on Saturday, June 24 will be held inside. The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. inside the high school gymnasium.

We are working to hopefully have live-stream access in the auditorium as an overflow. The ceremony will also be live-streamed on the school website.

Two graduating seniors will take over the Walton Central School District Instagram account this weekend to give followers a look through the eyes of students during graduation festivities.

This year, two outgoing seniors will take images and video and share it with followers of the Walton account. Jared Webler (the Class of 2017 valedictorian) and Kaitlyn Escobar (student council president) will take over the account starting Thursday, when they participate in cap decorating. They will continue through rehearsal on Friday and graduation on Saturday.

The Walton High School Brass Ensemble had the chance earlier in June to perform on the portico at the Walton Theatre. The ensemble performed 35 minutes of pre-concert music before the United States Air Force Heritage Brass Band played an afternoon concert.

The group performs regularly throughout the year at high school concerts and special functions, such as bus driver recognition, open houses, and school board recognition.
